This is a possibly the biggest and shortest Pool Room post of all time! - (that sounds so confusing now I am reading this post back to myself)
Vanilla Bean, now known as Nicholas, came into the world yesterday morning. Bub is doing very well. Mum is sore, but also doing pretty well. Dad (me – how crazy is that!) is still in disbelief, but also good – just a little tired.
Apologies
First off I want to apologise about my lack of visiting everyone’s blogs. My google reader has over 200 unread posts and I’m sure there is some pure gold that I am missing out on. Secondly I would like to apologise about the lack of personal finance posts and the amount of guest posts this week and next. I really just wasn’t sure how much time I would have and so I had scheduled a few posts prior to Nicks arrival.
My guest post – A Personal Story: Chores and Money Lessons Growing Up
Great Posts around the blog world
In no real order this week because I am so short on time, but these are some of the posts that I did get a chance to read and that I enjoyed.
- True Story: How to Cope When Your Spouse Skips Out with All the Cash
- How to Get Your Family On Board When Paying Off Debt
- Lifestyle Blogs: Empowering Women or Just Setting Us Back 50 years?
Finally, in terms of posting content on this blog – I plan on getting back into the swing of things either at the end of next week or the the Monday after. If anyone wants to guest post I have 1 spot left to fill. Please let me know if you are interested.

Welcome to Nicholas and well done to parents!

I’ve definitely been there. Blogging takes a ton of time! I also like the non-personal finance posts more than the personal finance posts :0 Not just yours, just in general. Have a great weekend!

Congrats daddy. Hope mama and baby are resting comfortably. Take as much time as you need to spend with your wife and the little one, that’s time you can never get back and is much more important than reading and commenting on blogs.

Congratulation! Don’t worry too much about the blog or visiting other sites for a while. Just enjoy being a dad for a while. The lack of sleep was brutal for me.

Lack of sleep and the constant sound of crying is what is getting me, although my wife has it worse than I do.
